I've never seen a raptor turn on a harassing crow. Thanks for the dramatic
moment.
I did once watch in awe as a peregrine falcon finally turned on a
relentlessly harassing kestrel at Kiptopeke.
They dove and turned sharply at high speed, falcon on falcon. Just as the
peregrine had closed the distance, they dropped beneath the treeline,
leaving the conclusion to our imagination.

My daughter who lives at Smith Mtn. Lake called to say that last week,
hearing a commotion in their yard, they went out to see a red tail hawk
mobbed by a bunch of crows. Suddenly the red tail wheeled on a crow,Ornithology. Please consider joining the VSO.
grabbed it in his talons, made a few swoops with it and dropped it in my
daughter's yard - dead. Has anyone ever seen this happen before?
