Well, I am no Bluebird/Robin expert but I think I would stop serving
mealworms for a week or so. Perhaps the Robins have learned your whistle
too and think you are calling them. :-)

I believe the same pair of bluebirds has come back to my yard. I say this
because they've been checking out the decorative box in which they raised
two broods last summer, despite the fact that I've posted a proper box near
that one.?For the past week or so, when I put mealworms in the bluebird
feeder, a robin chases them away and gulps down the worms. When I take the
worms to the feeder, I do a little whistle, which the bluebirds have become
accustomed to, and they come to a nearby tree, chattering away. They're on
the feeder before I can get back to the house.?I was horrified recently to
see the robin chase them away and take over their food. I moved the bowl
from the pole to a bluebird feeding box, which has one side open because of
a previous traumatic "captured" display by a female bluebird who'd entered
the hole on the end and then tried to fly out the clear sides. I've not seen
the robin get the worms from this setup so I don't think he can fit into the
box, even with
an open side, but he still chases the bluebirds away. Any suggestions?
