Dave W. and I birded Highland County today in hopes of finding the Say's
Phoebe. The Phoebe was not to be seen. There were quite a few birders on the
hunt but no one we spoke to had seen the bird. We saw several Golden Eagles and
a single light phase Rough-legged hawk and red phase Screech Owl in the Blue
grass area. Later we headed South around 3:00 to the Bath County Storage Pump
ponds on Back Creek road (600?) Here we had a large group of Ring-neck ducks ,
3 Redheads and 3 American Widgeons.
