I know nothing about this bird other than what has been posted, as I don't
live in the area. However, I thought I should mention that it's time for
screech owls to be nesting. It's possible they haven't been sighted
because they are now on eggs. Once they are incubating eggs (both parents may
participate), they stay out of sight. That is, they don't show themselves in
the daytime and they leave and enter the cavity in pitch darkness.
I do hope everyone will stay away from that tree, in case the owls are
still there. However, the birds may have abandoned the tree as there seems to
have been way too much human activity around it. I probably should have
spoken up earlier about this, but I can't keep up with everything.
Sincerely,
Marlene

Does anybody know what happened to the Owl in Dyke Marsh. I was there on

for a couple of hours until another photographer came by and told me he
heard that the
owl left this cavity.
Here is the link of a shot I took on Saturday the 8th at 18:18.
