Anyone know someone who lives close to Buxton to see if the owl is still
present.
Anyone from Hampton roads heading there tomorrow.

Here are yet more photos of Buxton NC's famous Snowy Owl. I tend to keep more
than I should. Just have a look around the set:

To reiterate the thoughts of many, if you go to see this owl, please do not
try and approach it. I saw it flushed by "people' creeping closer and closer
as it sat out on the beach. My photos were taken from in the edge of the dune
line. Would I like to have gotten closer shots? Of course I would, but I
would rather not disturb the bird (any more than it is being disturbed). It
is a highly visible presence when located, you cannot mistake it.
The latests reports have it moving further west down the beach. So those
looking for the bird should park at the end of the campground and follow the
road to the beach and turn right and keep walking and look for the birders.
