Thanks, Rexanne, for the update on the kites.
Yesterday one individual reported seeing only the tagged STKI and the 3
MIKIs.
To folks who may be visiting the site -- Please note that it is quite
possible one or both Swallow-tailed Kites could be flying/soaring high
overhead and going undetected. During our visit on Saturday afternoon, one
or both would disappear for extended periods. I eventually would locate one
or both flying EXTREMLY HIGH overhead as barely detectable small specs!
Some folks could not spot them. (Note: I had cataract surgery in both eyes
this past winter so my distant vision has greatly improved!) The MIKIs
would be so high up they would disappear!
