Hi,
I was just planning out December travel and found that I did not seem
to have a good list of VA Christmas Bird Count dates. I did a few
searches on VA-Bird and checked the info that the MD OS has out, which
gave me a partial list. Quite possibly people were super organized and
announced all these dates last year ... is there a compendium for the
2015-16 season on-line somewhere?
Here is what I found. Sincere apologies if one of these is wrong (that
obviously is worse than not helpful):
Washington DC 12/19/2015 Sat
Wachapreague 12/19/2015 Sat
Manassas - Bull Run 12/20/2015 Sun
Seneca 12/20/2015 Sun
Nassawadox 12/20/2015 Sun
Central Loudoun 12/29/2015 Tue
Cape Charles 12/30/2015 Wed
Ft Belvoir 1/2/2016 Sat
Calmes Neck 1/2/2016 Sat
Kerr Lake 1/5/2016 Fri (this wrong since 1/5 is not a Fri, but was
what I found posted on VA-Bird. Since the count period ends 1/5, I
assume that date is correct and it is a Tue)
Personally, I am curious if there are any other CBCs on 12/30 - 1/1 or 1/3.
