All,
The White-rumped Sandpiper still lingers at Leonard's Pond. Today I had my
camera a was able to get some decent shots. I also spotted was a single
Yellow-rumped Warlber there. No other Shorebirds were noted except the usual
armada of Killdeer, 47 by todays count. Along 610 near AFton Mountain in
Augusta County I had 4 species of Warblers Cape-May, Blackpoll,
Black-throated Blue, Pine plus tons of Ruby-crowned Kinglets and 3
Blue-headed Vireos. It appeared to be a good day for Thrushes most of which
went unidentified but I did get a good look at a Swainsons and am pretty
sure another bird was a Bicknell's/Grey Cheek two species which to me are
inseparable in field. The Hawkwatch was all accipters for the most part and
a lone Osprey but I was there only an hour or so . ....
adios,
William Leigh
