A solution not mentioned at the ABC site is the use of WHITE blinds,
shades, or curtains in windows. Since I started using white blinds and
curtains
in my windows, I have had nary a bird collision because the white is so
noticeable from outside. It's been tremendously effective.
The beauty of using blinds is that you can keep them PARTWAY open to see
outside and get light. Curtains, unfortunately, need to be kept mostly
closed to avoid collisions. Still, if you can do that, it works!
