All,
I thought the bird being reported at Sky Meadows was a Loggerhead Shrike. Can
someone clarify? Any photos?

Subject: [Va-bird] Continuing northern shrike at Sky Meadows State Park
I observed the northern shrike at Sky Meadows State Park this morning, in
the location well describe by Elton Morel, et al, in previous posts to the
list serve.
Very vocal and very easy to find.
As usual, sparrows were abundant on the Rolling Meadows bridle
trail-savannah sparrows in particular. Highlight was a vesper sparrow
perched on a fence accompanied by
a song sparrow, a field sparrow, two savannahs, and a goldfinch.
