Shaphan,

I think it has been very slow Warbler wise. Which is rather strange considering
it's the first week of May and we were seeing some Warbler species at very
early dates (BTGW at the beginning of April). Shorebirds were out in numbers
yesterday but the Warblers at Switzer were decent but not overwhelming. I think
I ended up with 10 species. BTW the culvert was flooded yesterday at Switzer
there was no way one could cross in a car.

best,

Subject: [shenvalbirds] Swainson's Thrushes & FOS Acadian Flycatcher, Union
Springs, R'ham County

This morning I had two Swainson’s Thrushes and my FOS Acadian Flycatcher at our
place in Union Springs. Only four warblers, though, most of them probably
breeding instead of migrating. It’s been an incredibly dry week migrant-wise
for me. The first week of May is usually my best week. Are others having the
same problem? I assume the weather just has things shut down, and they’ll pick
back up. Hope so anyway.
