I enjoyed Larry's report. It sounded a lot like my day. While checking the
bluebird boxes here in Vienna, VA I heard and saw a Blue-winged Warbler and
Great-crested Flycatchers. Earlier in the the day Saturday I heard
Black-throated Green Warblers on my run.
Two Ruby-throated Hummers were in the yard this evening, fighting over the
feeder.
I thought I heard a Baltimore Oriole running this morning.
Cheers,
Phil

White doing some point counts at Huntley Meadows meadow side today, I had a
Blue-winged Warbler in the first meadow, 2 Yellow-breasted Chats and a
Black-throated Green Warbler in the Main (Woodcock Meadow), a Black-and
White Warbler in the meadow near the platform overlooking the Main Wetland,
and a few Great Crested Flycatchers and White-eyed Vireos at several
locations. Lots of vocalizing today. Yellow-rumps were particularly
abundant.
I also had a nestbox with 4 healthy recently-hatched bluebird nestlings
looking quite well-fed.
