Dear Virginia Birders,
I saw lots of raptors today! A Barred Owl flew over the W&OD trail this
morning on my morning run. On the bluebird trail at Meadowlark Gardens I saw a
dozen or so Broad-winged Hawks. And on the soccer pitch this afternoon I saw an
Osprey fly over, in addition to a Red-shouldered and a few acceptors. I suspect
this was a big migration day for raptors. Additionally, there were Palm
Warblers, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, and lots of Bluebirds!!!
