This afternoon (Thursday) I birded the Princess Anne Wildlife Management Area
along Munden Road in southern Virginia Beach. The Beasley Tract (B) is on the
north side of the road and the Whitehurst Tract (W) is on the south side of the
road.
Highlights were as follows:
(B) Gadwall - There did not appear to be as many as I saw there on Friday
morning.
(B) American Wigeon - Dozen or so
(B) Blue-winged Teal - 4
(B & W) Green-winged Teal - Hundreds
(W) Northern Bobwhite - Heard only
(W) White Ibis - 122
(W) Glossy Ibis - 31
(B & W) American Coot - 100
(B) Greater Yellowlegs
(B) Lesser Yellowlegs
(B) Dunlin -3
(W) Laughing Gull - 10
(B) Barn Swallow - 2
