Dana Gulbransen of UVA will be surveying shorebird use of three
different mudflats offshore of the town of Oyster starting May 11 to
determine the impacts of invasive algae on shorebird foraging and prey
densities. She is presently soliciting help with shorebird
identification from experienced birders for the beginning of her study.
