Join the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy's Mary Ann Good & Jim McWalters for one
of the conservancy's many free walks this Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 8 am, at
the Dulles Greenway Wetlands Mitigation Project. The group will explore the
privately owned wetlands near Oatlands Plantation and will look for birds,
butterflies and late-summer blooming wildflowers. The Dulles Greenway Wetlands
Mitigation is a terrific stopover for migrating birds which we start to see
this time of year. Spotting scopes will be on hand to view different birds
feeding in the wetlands and we'll keep our eyes peeled for views of the
resident Bald Eagles and this years' eaglets. Waterproof foot gear, long pants
and insect repellent advised. Registration required: Sign up online or contact
Joe Coleman at joecoleman@xxxxxxxxxxxxx.
