Greetings,
So many AMERICAN REDSTARTS, so little time...I easily had 45 to 50 singing
Redstarts this morning. They were off the charts!! Gorgeous males everywhere.
Best bird for me was CERULEAN. I had 8 singing and was able to see 7 (how
lucky can I get?). Singing HOODED numbered about 25. Other warblers included:
Ovenbird (30), Worm-eating (4), C. Yellowthroat (4), Kentucky (3),
Chestnut-sided (2), Yellow, LA Waterthrush, and Yellow-breasted Chat. Other
notables: Purple Finch (33), Wood Thrush (30), Scarlet Tanager (12),
Great-crested Flycatcher (10), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (3), Ruby-crowned
Kinglet (3), Broad-winged Hawk (2), C. Raven, Baltimore Oriole, and Red,
White, Blue, and Yellow Vireos.
Trilliums in bloom!
