This morning, on the bimonthly Newport News Park bird walk, a singing Warbling
Vireo was found on the Wynn's Mill Loop Trail, just past Swamp Bridge, as one
travels from the Discovery Center (heading in a general northward direction).
The bird was identified by song alone (despite attempts to see the bird). After
singing a few times, it did not sing again. The bird was singing from the edge
of the woods along the trail, about 100 to 200 ft past Swamp Bridge. The bird
was found at approximately 10:00 to 10:30 this morning.

Jane Frigo does an excellent job of guiding us. It can be like herding cats --
especially when I'm there!
Be careful out there -- it is hot!
