This morning seemed quiet to me on the hike-bike side of Huntley Meadows.
There were a few warblers darting through but were difficult to see. The
large field to the right as you approach the viewing platform had the most
activity with sparrows, indigo buntings, blue grosbeaks, common
yellowthroats, and a yellow-rumped or two.
I got a photo of an unusual bird. I'm told it is an orange-cheeked waxbill,
probably an escapee or a released bird. Actually there was a pair, feeding

I spoke with a lady who had seen this bird earlier and it may have been
reported previously on the listserve.
On the way out of the hike-bike trail, there was a female rose-breasted
grosbeak.
