Hello! This is my first post to the list serve. I have a non-breeding
male Western Tanager feeding at my PLOC (peanut butter/lard/oats/cornmeal
mixture) feeder during the past week or so. He lands on the deck railing,
hops on the feeder and takes off with a nugget. I have seen him through
out the day, though he doesn't come back for awhile between feedings. I
have seen him sit up in the trees sometimes with the bluebirds, as well.
(I don't know how long he will stay around, but if anyone wants to try to
get a look at him, let me know. I live in a gated lake community so I would
have to leave your name with security.)
