We had one or two Ruby-throated hummingbirds in April coming to the feeder.
Hardly any in May! I clean the feeder about once a week and fill it with
fresh sugar water but still nothing now for days on end. My brother-in-law
in Franklin County and my daughter in NC have noticed the same thing. Is
this normal? Are they nesting? Should I expect to see them later in the
summer? Maybe they are eating bugs which is fine with me! This is only the
second season I have put up feeders for them so I'm still learning.
