Thanks to Greg Butcher's tip, I found the imm. white ibis along the wildlife
loop road down in a gut along the road with a few snowy egrets, three imm.
glossy ibis and two great egrets.
The bar-tailed godwit was seen again yesterday in the usual locations with the
usual flock of marbled godwits, willets, skimmers and other terns.
This morning around 6:45 a.m. we heard at least one sandhill crane flying over
the Oyster Bay community of Chincoteague. Did not get a visible ID, it was
just on the rolling-rattle call.
