This morning I glanced out my office window to check for the Eurasian
Collared-dove that's been making occasional appearances, and I was treated
with this beauty.
Roughly the size of a Mourning Dove, but stockier with a shorter, more
squared tail. Darker overall. Seen in flight, the white wing patches and
white tip on the tail contrasted strongly with the rest of the body.
Unmistakable.
I also noted several Robins carrying nest building material today.
