To all of you who have asked for a status on the White-winged Dove in
Chesapeake, I'm sorry to report that it has not been seen again. It literally
stayed long enough for me to spot it and take some photos, and then it flew
off. It doesn't look like it ever returned.
Either did the Painted Bunting; I expected her to stay at the feeders for at
least a few more days, but she also flew the coop.
Not that I would wish for another major storm, but they do make birding a
little more exciting! Bring it on!
