Hi all,
Yesterday, the William & Mary Ornithology Class took a field trip to bird
several locations in the Shenandoah Valley. Our best find of the trip was
an early WILLOW FLYCATCHER in the Swoope area. I knew it was early, but
after talking to others, it seems that there are very few reports so far,
so I figured I would share. We first heard the bird singing, and later
viewed it, just south of Smithleigh Lake, across the road from the last
known Loggerhead Shrike nesting spot.
Best,
