To all,
On the cloudy morning of May twenty-fifth six-fifty-two a.m. in the year of
our Lord two-thousand-and-ten at the practice fields of Forest Park Senior
High School I caught sight of my first wood thrush.
Anyway, in all seriousness I did see a wood thrush. I used a recording from
that Cornell book, 250 birds songs of North America, to get the bird to sing
and come out. It worked and I got to observe it for a couple of minutes
before it disappeared into the brush.
