Hi,
Thank you all for the detailed directions sent to me (apologies if I did
not thank you individually).
This morning I went to this location, the light was fantastic! I arrived
around 9:30 or so and Larry, Joy and a couple of other birders were already
there. There were many Horned Larks (believe it or not, a new bird for me),
some even stopped on the road right in front of us. There were Eastern
Meadowlarks too. But initially we could not find the Lapland Longspurs.
Just when I was about to leave at 10:30, a flock of 100 or so birds flew to
the field in front of me, and I saw at least 2 Lapland Longspurs (another
new bird!) amongst them.
