Birders,

Andy Martin, Carole Miller, and I stopped briefly at the Sky Meadows bridle
path area this morning and were thrilled to find a Yellow-breasted Chat
singing from the top of a tree in the playground area near the ranger's
house. We also found a Gray Catbird, a Baltimore Oriole, a White-eyed
Vireo, and two Eastern Kingbirds at the start of the Shearman Mill Trail.
There were Chimney Swifts chattering overhead and Barn Swallows on the
wires.

Later, we birded the trillium trail at George Thompson Wildlife Management
Area near Linden VA, and found Cerulean Warblers, American Redstarts,
Ovenbirds, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Scarlet Tanagers, Common Raven, Wood
Thrush, and a Yellow-billed Cuckoo.

Here's a link to a couple of photos of the Yellow-breasted Chat.
