I got in a couple hours of birding at Banister WMA South this morning hoping
for a few early migrants. The only one I found was a lone Yellow-throated
Warbler that was foraging in the treetops and occasionally singing an
abbreviated version of his song. Other notables were a flock of 19 Rusty
Blackbirds and at least 5 Red-headed Woodpeckers. The Ruby-crowned Kinglets
were the first I have seen since January.
I also had 2 Purple Finches and 3 Pine Siskins at the feeders today.
