[va-bird] ants on feeder question

I saw our first hummingbird last week at our feeder, but along with that joy
came those sweet-loving ants, as well.  I have tried spraying the shepherd's
hook with no-stick cooking spray and that works for a short while.  Ants also
seem to get to the nectar when it is attached to a clothes line-type wire
between two trees.  Any suggestions to keep these out of the feeder will be
appreciated.
