Apologies for the late posting. I visited the beach at Sunset Resort, the
Townsend area, Arlington Road, Custis Tomb, and Kiptopeke SP this past
Saturday. While there wasn't anything unexpected seen, I was surprised by where
I saw the collared doves (I've not seen them in Townsend before). But, truly,
these doves are probably there often.
I wasn't expecting many migrants that morning and was pleased to see the
American Redstarts and Red-eyed Vireo. The entire bird list is listed below, as
well as a few butterflies. The sunrise that day was wonderful and the morning
was very lovely. Wish I was able to get out more.
