A correction to my recent post re the birds at Craney Island on Sunday (31
August): the strikingly leucistic bird we observed yesterday was a SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPER, not a SANDERLING.
There was apparently some mis-communication between my mind and my fingers when
I typed my original post last night! :-)
