Greetings all
The Lynchburg Bird Club had their field trip to Staunton River Battlefield
State Park this morning
With the forecast yesterday calling for rain today it was iffy if the trip
would be a go or not. I checked the Weather Channel app last night and first
thing this morning and it looked like the rain might hold off for the trip so I
decided to go and was later met up with 5 members from Lynchburg. We had a
great walk with no rain seeing a good selection of warblers a Bald Eagle and
for the second time ever at the park we had a great look at a Mississippi Kite.
This report is for the birds seen in Halifax Co and another report for
Charlotte County will be following.
