The last news I have of the Fork-tailed Flycatcher was that it was seen
after lunchtime on the Eastern Shore of Virginia NWR by one of the banding
station interns, near the refuge office (not the Visitor Center), so it had
moved a mile or so in three hours. It has been very windy, so the bird has
not been perching on phone wires much (and there are large numbers of
raptors around) - staying more to edges of woods and copses.
