Today (08 October), I found fall migrators and a winter bird at Cub
Run Rec Center in western Fairfax County.
Ruby-Crowned Kinglet - 1
Black-Throated Green Warbler - 1
other Warbler sp. - 1
The warbler that got away without an ID looked like a Red-Eyed Vireo
(eyestripe, long bill, mostly white underside) but it also had 2 wing
bars and faint streaking on the chest. Definitely not a Yellow-Rump,
so I'm sure it was migrating through.
