last night for at least an hour ( aornd 7pm) there were about 20 nighthawks
catching bugs right over our field in great falls - we are near the potomac
river- it was spectacular - we had been watching a flock of bluebirds hawking
insects from a large oak tree at the edge of the field , and then the
nighthawks arrived - there must have been an outbreak of some kind of bugs -
chimney swifts arrived later - we saw a bunch of dragonflies also collecting
insects
over the field - when would one expect the nigthawks to start their
