Susan,
We saw the three Ross's Geese just as they took off, flying South, out
of the cornfield located
across Rt. 11 from the Honda motorcycle dealership, in Harrisonburg, on
Saturday. Twas
just 'fore sunset as we werw driving northbound on Rt. 11.
Have they been seen since?

All,
Greg and I birded around Harrisonburg from 2:15 until 4:15 yesterday
(Sunday) afternoon but were unable to find the Ross's Geese. We checked
both posted locations plus Silver Lake and Leonard's Pond. At the
Ross's pond there were about 8 Northern Shovelers and a single pair of
pintails. Silver Lake had many mallards and a white domestic duck.
Leonard's Pond had a flock of Canada Geese with the immature Snow Goose
mixed in. Also, a pair of Mallards, two pairs of Green-winged Teal, a
Killdeer, and three Least Sandpipers.
Once again, Mr. Ross eludes me.
