I heard a red-breasted nuthatch at Conway-Robinson State Forest in Prince
William County this morning. It was along the gas line right-of-way just where
the pine forest starts. I also tallied 8 warbler species (ovenbird, common
yellowthroat, redstart, black-and-white, black-throated green, black-and-white,
pine, magnolia, and chestnut-sided) and cedar waxwing, scarlet tanager, 5
red-headed woodpeckers, and yellow-breasted chat.
