keith and i went over to riverbend park late this afternoon, 4:30pm to 5pm,
in the pouring down rain - we are not really great at duck identification yet
but are working on it - we saw hundreds of ducks downriver from the boat
landing - sure of ring-necks and common mergansers - mallards and canada geese
-
spectacular view of a mature bald eagle on a rock in the middle of the river
devouring a fish - i am hoping to get our identifications improved over time
and
would like to know how to estimate numbers when there seem to be so many birds
on the water - christie huffman
