VA Birders,
Last weekend David Holmes and I banded a hatch year female Rufous
Hummingbird at the home of Herk and Marjorie Latimer in Vienna. For
personal reasons, they requested that I not post about the bird until
today. Fortunately the bird is still there and the feeder can be seen
from the street so they are happy to have folks come by now. The
address is 110 Kingsley Road SW, Vienna, VA 22180. If you are facing
the house, you can see the feeder hanging on their swing on the left
side of the house. Given the weather report for today, I expect the
bird will be there feeding early tomorrow morning. I ask that visitors
please respect their privacy and stay on the street or the sidewalk.
