Four members of the Augusta Bird Club toured the Augusta Springs Wetlands this
morning to check on early migrants. The early morning fog was not a problem.
However, the dampness made it feel a little cooler than it really was. Not a
real big count at the wetlands, only 26 species. Pine was the only warbler
seen, but not many were expected -- it's still early. The idea behind the
weekly Augusta Springs Wetlands walks is to watch the progression as the
migration gets into full swing.
