[Va-bird] snow geese

Clear DayMy son, Peter, made a stop on Friday afternoon, 10/23/09, at Rural
Retreat Lake in Wythe County. He noted that two snow geese were mixed in with
a flock of Canadian geese. He indicated that both birds had the rusty/brown
stained heads characteristic of birds that have been feeding in peat colored
water. Ed Morgan, Abingdon, VA
