A new flock of Purple Finches was at my feeder yesterday. I have
also noticed that in the past two days my junco population has been
reduced by about 90%. Last week I noted that the juncos seemed
to be in a feeding frenzy that resembled the activity before a major
storm. The white-throats suddenly have less competition for the
millet I throw on the ground.
