Hi, all -
I heard an unknown bird singing this morning/afternoon (late
morning/early afternoon) in the Wetlands area of James River Park today. I
never saw it, so the only thing I have to go on, Unfortunately, is the
song. It was very bubbly and it seemed to go on and on. It was very bubbly
with no harsh sounds or trills in it. It was high in the trees. I know
that's next to nothing to go on, but has anyone heard a bird that seems to
sing for a very long time without stopping (other than a mockingbird)? I
listened to American Goldfinch and Purple Finch recordings and it's neither
one of them. It's also not a Warbling Vireo (lower pitch, no harsh sounds
or trills). Any thoughts at all?
