[Va-bird] [va-bird] Common Raven in Springfield

Driving to the Metro station this AM on VA-289 (Franconia-Springfield Pkwy) @ 
6:45AM, I saw at least 2 crows chasing a substantially larger bird towards me.  
My initial thought was Red-shouldered Hawk, but as we approached one another, 
about 30' in front of me, the larger bird banked to the right with wings and 
tail fully spread out. All black, definitely a corvid with wedge tail.
