Hi, group:
I know we are still a day short of Summer Solstice, but I've just finished
my 4-part "seasons" series of essays, the last one being "winter". This one
in particular is mostly focused on birds. I will list all 4 links here, I
hope you enjoy!

Nick â¦â¦ we have had a Yellow-crowned Night Heron walking around the yard
eating worms. Three time in the last couple of weeks.

All - I went to the BRP this morning to see what was around. It was
foggy/rainy/sunny and there were very few people up there. Of note, I
found a Least Flycatcher singing away - if you call the che-bek call a
song. I watched him for about 15 minutes but wasn't able to get any photos
of him. The Least Flycatcher was near mile post 38. A little farther north
on the Pway I came across two Scarlet Tanagers having a territorial dispute
right along the road. They flew and sang and flew and sang. Even though
the lighting wasn't great for photos, I was able to get a few good shots.
At the same location there was a Black-throated Blue Warbler singing away,
as well.
I've up-loaded a few photos to Flickr, if you're interested
