Yes, The Washington Sailing Marina and Daingerfield Island are the same
place.  I was able to see it at 8:00am this morning.  The gull is a
juvenile (based on other reports).  I had good scope views of the wing
pattern this morning.  I did not get a good look at the head of the bird.
The gull is in DC waters across the river from the Marina.  Here is a link
to a short video clip I took:

Is Daingerfield Island Marina the same thing as Washington Sailing Marina?
Is the Gull a juvenile? And also, by the far side of the Potomac River, do
you mean the DC side? Or across that little Channel from the point looking
back toward the Virginia side? I ask because I can kayak over there and not
necessarily need to bring my scope. But I'm not quite sure where. Several
years ago there was a juvenile sabines gull in the hydrilla mats right by
National Airport. I paddled over there and got to spend several lovely
hours watching it feed around the hydrilla. But this year there really
isn't any hydrilla to speak of in the river.
Thank you for the specifics! I know you said that it was on eBird but
frankly I find eBird so unbelievably giant and unwieldy I really don't like
to try and use it to find any particular thing. I get the rare bird alerts
for certain States, but that's about it.

Thanks, MB from Nova

sent from my phone so please excuse all typos, gibberish, and horrifying
misspellings

in.  Light SE Winds and 25-27C temps.

Some Vultures flying this afternoon but not many raptors (not even local
