This is a backyard list from mid-morning at and around our little pond:
Blackpoll (male and female, bathing)
C. Yellowthroat (female, bathing; male heard)
Blk Th Blue (female, bathing; male heard)
Am Redstart (yellowstart, with black specks and spots on chest, similar to
illustration in Peterson's Warbler Guide. I had never seen one like this before)
Chestnut-sided (female, bathing)
Swainson's (bathing and around yard for quite awhile)
Red-eyed vireo
Scarlet tanager (female, bathing; really fun to see this one at such close
range)
Cedar waxwings (five or six, near pond but wouldn't go to water)
