Sarah's link seems to be for the US only. I found several Irish supliers of
the Brother QL 700, also found it on amazon.com for 50 dollars. I saw it for
87 Eur on one Irish site.

I had one at a previous job. They are slightly larger than business labels.
They come on a roll like stamps and the roll gets loaded in the machine. I
found it very handy, and although there's no audio output, there was never a
problem with what it oriented so I was able to just trust it said what it
was supposed to.

It might be worth a purchase order to have your employer get you a label
printer. They are small and meant just for this sort of task. They print one
label at a time so you know what you have. Here's a $40 one:
