Hi Tony,

First open up a document in Adobe reader, it doesn't matter if it reads or
not. When you have the document open then press keys, "Control + Shift +
number row 5" that is the five just above the letters on the main keyboard.
This will now open up the accessibility options.

Paul.

No I can't, I go to where you say and still no.

It's just like any other menu, no preferences.

Hi Tony
You will get the preferences in the Edit Menu in Adobe reader.
It's the last item on the menu.
Now when you get into Preferences there are a load of options.
This was in the Accessibility section
Screen reading and reading order options are available on the Reading
panel. Multimedia accessibility options are available on the Multimedia
panel. Other document colour settings are found on the Forms, Full
Screen, and Spelling preferences.
So you will need to go to any of those sections if needed.
When you are in the options section press R to go to reading and change
what is needed here.
Got it to work for me eventually using Zoomtext but it only reads one
page of the document, so am now trying to solve that little headache.
Smile
Good luck with it as it is a bit confusing to say the least and hard to
know which option to change. But I have until July to figure it out for
this particular document. Hiss.
Tony

Unfortunately not Flor. I have had Dolphin have a look too to no avail.
They
are wondering if it will not work with Windows XP. Also had a good IT
technician look and he cannot resolve it either. Please note version 10
works just fine.

Hi eleanor,

Wonder if this will help?

Hi All,

I have had a problem reading PDF files ever since I updated to Adobe XI.
Well, I went into preferences & made the changes below & finally, Adobe
is
working again!

For those who have had the same problem you can give these setting
changes a
try to see if they help.

On the Security Enhanced tab, I unchecked the options below.

Enable Protected Mode at startup, I unchecked this box.

Enable Enhanced Security, I unchecked this box.

1 other note. While in the Security Enhanced tab, If you tab 1 more
time
to, Enable Enhanced Security, I unchecked this box but, if this box is
left
checked Adobe works just fine.
